Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is currently looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to help facilitate all phases of the accreditation process and work in conjunction with the Government POC to coordinate activities to achieve system ATO's. The ideal candidate will have experience in RMF, ACAS, and working with DoD programs. The candidate will interface with all members of the engineering team to ensure systems are maintained at the required security baseline.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Monitor, track, and address Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) applicable to all networks and create POA&Ms for any vulnerabilities unable to be addressed.
  • Analyze and identify server configurations, operating systems, firewalls, patch implementations, and account management policies to protect the systems against threats and vulnerabilities
  • Develop technical and written solutions to cyber security vulnerabilities (e.g. AD Group Policy, Local Security Policy, Windows/Unix scripts, documented mitigations)
  • Prepares RMF-related documentation artifacts (policy & procedure) for ATO renewals
  • Prepares documentation to support installation for quarterly patching, deployment of quarterly patches in accordance with existing Configuration Management program
  • Interface with other teams to create solutions and resolve technical issues
  • Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support accreditation and other program protection activities
  • Utilize various information system inspection tools to audit systems, analyze potential vulnerabilities and identify mitigation approaches
  • Conduct technical evaluation of information system designs, focusing on information security aspects and accreditation
  • Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard information systems, networks and databases.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology and security threats as assigned
  • Must be able to work in a diverse multi-program environment.
Requirements

Minimum Requirements

The position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; thereby, including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements with respect to COVID-19, as well as any Government or customer site-specific requirements. Requirements typically include but are not limited to proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status, except in circumstances where a candidate is legally entitled to an accommodation.
  • Knowledge of AR 25-2, Information Assurance
  • Working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
  • IAVA scanning and reporting - can read and interpret
  • Server maintenance in support of IAVM and STIG requirements
  • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Understanding of IP Networking
  • Understanding of Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 /2016
  • Understanding of Windows Server Update Services ( WSUS )
  • Basic knowledge of VMWare ESX, Hyper-V (or other virtualization platforms)
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to re-prioritize tasking on short notice and identify & communicate impact of change
  • Quick learner, creative, resourceful, and able to work both independently and as a team
  • Must have active secret clearance.
The minimum years of related experience required: 5 Years of experience

Education

The minimum level of education required is: High school diploma

Desired Requirements

The desired skills, knowledge, and education include:
  • Bachelors Degree in relative field
  • DoD 8570 Compliance with IAT Level II or higher
  • Experience working on a government contract
