Ascension is seeking a Senior Director - Contracting & Payer Relations to join our team in Nashville, TN.

What You Will Do:

As a Senior Director, you will have the opportunity to manage the development and implementation of the Contracting & Payer Relations financial strategies and analytics to align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

  • Provide leadership to Contracting & Payer Relations team and oversee the development of and continuous improvement of the team and their duties.
  • Supervise and direct the daily operations of team members and prepare annual goals, objectives, and strategies for the team.
  • Oversee the utilization and continuous improvement of the financial reports and analytics used for contract management.
  • Serve as the network contact for managed care contracting functions.
  • Support resolution of managed care contractual issues pertaining to contract interpretation and coding with payers in conjunction with contracting and revenue cycle staff.
  • Assess managed care contracting requirements and standards as they relate to industry/regulatory issues and market implications.
  • Recommend and implement necessary improvements and revisions to contracting requirements and standards.
  • Lead the development and testing of a national contract pricing model and responsible for all activities related to the modeling of contract proposals that maximize net operating margins and ensure market competitiveness.
What You Will Need:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 7 years of experience required.
  • 10 years of experience preferred.
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Experience in managed care contracting, negotitating, and healthcare highly preferred.
