Role:

The FP&A Analyst will be a trusted resource and business partner to the FP&A Director and the management team. Focus will be on internal and external reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, and financial analysis projects that will improve operating and financial metrics. Will also support company initiatives and M&A activities.

Responsibilities

• Create and update weekly and monthly sales and profitability reporting for management and private equity partners
• Maintain and improve the 13-week cash flow forecasting process
• Produce detailed, bottom-up budgets and forecasts to support short-term and long-term strategic planning
• Respond to requests for data and analysis to support business initiatives and continuous improvement projects
• Become a true business partner to Operations department leadership, helping them to understand and improve operational performance
• Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• An understanding of financial statements and how they interact with each other
• Expert-level excel skills, ability to build reports and models that are scalable for a high-growth organization
• Knowledge of budgeting/forecasting methodologies for sales, costs, and balance sheet metrics
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, time management and organizational skills
• Good communication skills, ability to build relationships with management team
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Good working knowledge of ERP systems and reporting/analysis packages like Power BI and OneStream
• Significant experience working with OneStream software to design reporting and forecasting capabilities
• Experience building financial models and ad-hoc analysis supporting growing business lines
• Experience with financial statement forecasting with particular emphasis on cashflow planning and analysis

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related Field
• 7+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A roles
• Experience and ability to model and synthesize complex financial analysis, operational, and KPI data into concise presentations and decision framework
• Proven track record of proactive actions to improve the business and support the management team

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Related Field
• Experience in a private equity-backed company
• Experience supporting M&A activities
• Experience in HVAC Industry or other service business

Physical requirements:

• Continuously able to work in office environment
• Continuously able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer
• Continuously able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours
• Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day
• Occasionally able to lift up to 15 lbs
• Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking
• Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching
