Your Role:

As a member of the Global Strategic Intelligence team, you will leverage digital tools to continuously monitor the competitive landscape, track trends, and deliver information and insights to support and accelerate fact-based decision-making by key stakeholders, senior leaders, and our Life Science executive team. In this role, you will be relied upon as a subject matter expert in competitor moves and adept at extracting and communicating insights from financial reports and other earnings-related material. Up to 10% travel, including international. This role will be responsible for:

  • Utilizing a strong financial acumen to conduct rigorous research and analysis of earnings-related material, company financial filings, press releases, and industry reports
  • Preparing and delivering quarterly peer analysis deliverables that include findings and business implications
  • Monitoring the competitive environment, quickly escalating high priority developments
  • Maintaining, refining, and championing a competitive benchmarking dashboard
  • Conducting in-depth primary and secondary research; delivering high-quality output to meet stakeholder requirements
  • Interfacing frequently with internal business stakeholders; ensuring alignment
  • Developing clear, fact-based, and impactful leadership-ready presentations

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field such as business administration or accounting
  • 2 plus years of experience in competitive intelligence, investor relations, market research, consulting, or any related fields

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA is a plus
  • Experience in performing qualitative and quantitative research and analysis; ability to synthesize and make connections between data and information from disparate sources and develop insights and conclusions
  • Familiarity with scientific terminology and concepts in the life sciences
  • Financial acumen - (e.g., ability to interpret P&L, build financial models, understand valuations, calculate financial ratios and multiples, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of the quarterly earnings process and earnings-related materials (e.g., investor presentations, call transcripts, analyst reports)
  • Sharp communication skills and a high comfort level in reporting findings, sharing ideas and making recommendations
  • Highly collaborative and team-oriented; focus on stakeholder engagement and building and maintaining an internal network
  • Natural curiosity, enthusiasm, and flexibility
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
