RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Senior Java Developer - Front End who will play a crucial role in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. Leveraging your expertise in Java and Spring Boot, the Developer will contribute to the development of complex applications, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes. Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software applications using Java and Spring Boot framework
- Provide technical leadership in the design and architecture of software solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and software designs
- Integrate software applications with third-party systems, databases, and APIs to facilitate seamless data exchange and interoperability
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and maintainable code quality; Collaborate with QA teams to address any identified issues
- Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks in software applications, including database queries, API calls, and system resource utilization
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and software defects, providing timely and effective solutions
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including software design specifications, API documentation, and system architecture diagrams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, software engineers, quality assurance, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery
- Share your expertise with junior developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to enhance the overall skills and capabilities of the team
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Significant experience (typically 6+ years) in Java development with a strong focus on Spring Boot framework
- In-depth understanding of Java core concepts, object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, and design patterns
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and web services using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and related technologies
- Solid experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and/or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks is beneficial
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and propose effective solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to mentor and guide junior developers, fostering their professional growth
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
