SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for managing a specific geographic area of Live Production in the areas of maintaining low operating costs, encouraging high morale in employees and farm families, ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies, promoting and adhering to animal wellbeing best practices, while maintaining safe conditions and a positive image in the community.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Supervising the breed mix/feed/growout programs of the Breeder/Hatchery manager
  
• Supervising the activities of the Broiler Manager as related to the feed and medication programs and grower relations
  
• Supervising the activities of the Live Haul Department to coordinate scheduling with Broiler Growout and producers
  
• Overseeing the truck shop leadership which supervises the maintenance of several company vehicles
  
• Working with each department on specific problems such as grower performance, egg production, DOAs, and feed milling
  
• Attending to employee concerns, conducting weekly management meetings, and employee luncheons
  
• Performing other responsibilities as the need arises
  

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 6 plus years supervisory in the poultry industry preferred.

Biosecurity: When visiting jobsites and biosecure environments, showering before entering the facilities is required. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsites except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species, chickens, ducks, or birds . The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills

Computer Skills: Requires above average use of Microsoft Office.

Supervisory: This position is responsible for managing several groups of personnel who perform diverse tasks and activities in more than one department.

Travel: Up to 12 plus trips per year.
