As the Senior Manager of the Engineering Support Office, you will play a pivotal role in driving excellence across our engineering operations. You will be responsible for overseeing Quality, Training and Documentation, and Metrics within the engineering department, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

Provide oversight to department and engineering team ensuring goals and milestones are met.

Effectively manage and allocate resources to team and business needs.

Establish and grow the engineering team to include recruiting, leading and developing employees.

Partnering with Executive Leadership regarding Engineering Team strategy and business needs.

Building in Quality Control for Engineering processes and deliverables.

Develop and implement strategies to maintain and improve the quality of engineering processes, products, and services.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Design and execute comprehensive training programs for engineering staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and competencies.

Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including manuals, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), to support engineering activities.

Ensure that documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Provide guidance and support to engineers in following established procedures and best practices.

Establish a culture of continuous improvement and mechanisms to promote mentoring of associates across the Engineering department.

Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of engineering processes.

Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics and insights to senior management.

Work closely with engineering teams to develop action plans and initiatives to address performance gaps and optimize processes.

Attending domestic and international technology trade shows, focusing on material handling equipment and systems.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Ability to clearly communicate in both written and spoken formats.

Proficiency in data analysis and metrics-driven decision-making.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.

Self-motivated and ability to work with limited direction.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering or related field.

Minimum of 10 years' experience in an Engineering technology role

Minimum of 5 years' experience in an Engineering Management/Leadership role

Experience working in a global engineering team environment, global leadership experience a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to walk, kneel, crouch and balance occasionally, if on a job site.

Ability to climb, ascending or descending ladders, stairs, ramps, etc., using feet, legs and/or hands and arms occasionally, if on a job site.

Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs occasionally.

Ability to sit/stand frequently for long and/or intermittent periods of time.

The base salary range for this role is $129,300 to $194,000. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position. Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
