Your Role:

At MilliporeSigma, the Senior Market Research Analyst will partner with key stakeholders to lead the planning and execution of primary market research/Voice of the Customer (VOC), as well as the delivery of actionable insights/recommendations.

  • Utilize creative problem-solving skills to translate business questions into an analytical methodology resulting in actionable insights.
  • Lead primary market research and VOC projects in support of strategic and tactical planning.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to design project scope and research objectives.
  • Partner with external and internal stakeholders to design survey/discussion guide and generate research findings/reports.
  • Identify the best methodology that fits the need and budget, recommend the methodology to internal clients, and justify the ROI for the research.
  • Synthesize key findings/results and deliver story-driven insight summaries with actionable recommendations that drive business decision making.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Project Stakeholders globally, including product managers, strategy, analytics, and R&D teams.
  • Communicate insights, implications, and recommendations to all levels of the company.
  • Champion best practices, standard approaches, and innovation in market research execution across functions.
  • Train all levels of the company for best-in-class VOC techniques.
  • Manage market research vendors & third-party vendors to support primary market research / VOC projects.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork within and beyond the Strategy Analytics & Intelligence team to drive success.
  • Develop cross-functional trusted relationships and partnerships.
  • Integrate tools and best practices into function.
  • Support onboarding of new team members.

Who You Are:

BasicQualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related life science or business discipline
  • 3+ years of market research experience from agency or client-side including, research design, execution and reporting, project management, and/or qualitative and quantitative analytics (e.g., segmentation, conjoint, MaxDiff, pricing studies)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or higher
  • Proficient with online survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics)
  • Strong analytical skills interpreting quantitative and qualitative data
  • Experience with relevant business intelligence/analytics tools commonly used to analyze market research data (e.g. SPSS, SAS, Wincross)
  • Demonstrated ability to determine customer unmet needs and deliver meaningful insights
  • Highly collaborative team player able to lead cross-functional projects and build team alignment
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (oral and written) across different levels of the organization, from Product Managers to Senior Executives
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, and keep projects on track to meet deadlines
  • Possess a curiosity and openness to new insight methodologies and a drive to expand the toolkit to better serve the business
  • Experience in managing external market research firms/third party vendors
  • Proven experience as a high performer and thought leader
  • Proficiency with advanced data analytics and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
