Essential Functions The Senior Network Administrator provides design and support for the global Newpark data, collaboration, and video infrastructure. Design includes research, definition, configuration, testing and implementation of various technologies and solutions. Support is provided to all lines of business for both internal and external network requirements. Employee works independently on major, complex projects with full competency. Employee coordinates with both technical and non-technical staff and vendors on integrated voice and data applications. Will also provide guidance and training to junior staff.
• Resolves complex networking problems with full competency requiring no supervision. • Produce network design documents both High-Level Designs (HLD) & Low-Level Designs (LLDs) in accordance with the approved network design architecture.
• Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with industry standards and use approved technologies.
• Develops, updates and audits network documentation.
• Technology roadmap development, management, and maintenance.
• Documenting and updating all network infrastructure and supported business processes.
• Provides technical training and direction to team members. Mentors lower-level network engineers.
• Participates in long-term network design discussions.
• Ability to understand a customer's business needs and translate needs into IT specific requirements.
• Makes recommendations clearly linked to the organization's strategy and financial goals, reflecting an awareness of external dynamics.
• Demonstrates awareness by providing clear explanations for actions taken relative to customer requirements, needs and industry trends.
• Identifies the ongoing needs of internal and/or external clients. Ensures these needs are met or exceeded.
• Applies quality assurance testing concepts and methodologies. Constructs comprehensive test plans based on a thorough understanding of business requirements.
• Anticipates, identifies, and defines problems. Seeks root causes. Develops and implements practical and timely solutions.
• Places team needs and priorities above personal needs. Involves others in making decisions that affect them.

Education & Experience Requirements Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (educational equivalent), or 9 year's relevant work experience AND 5 years experience in an enterprise environment. CCNP or CCIE preferred. Advanced knowledge of CyberSecurity solutions. Advanced understanding of unified communication including telephony, VOIP, video conferencing, instant messaging, email, etc. Advanced knowledge of LAN, WAN hardware. Exposure to LINUX/UNIX. Advanced understanding of firewall administration products. Project Management experience. Position Summary Supports network services including unified communications and collaboration tools including telephony, VOIP, web-conferencing and instant messaging applications. Responsible for vendor and data center management. Manages projects related to cybersecurity and disaster recovery. May train lower level personnel.
