RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer/Administrator in Anaheim, CA.Summary:The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. This includes Cisco routers, Cisco fabrics, Cisco switches, F5 load balancers, Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco contextual firewalls, Cisco Firepower firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls and other network devices. This individual will focus and take the lead on network projects.Essential Duties:
  • Plays a major part in the planning and coordination of updates, enhancements, and expansion of the corporate LAN and WAN
  • Manages networking assets, including routers, switches, firewalls, and core networking applications
  • Develops scopes of work, manages, and implements network projects from
conception through procurement and execution
  • Works with IT Security to develop and implement best practice strategies to balance security recommendations with business needs
  • Supports and mentors junior Network Administrators on technical issues
  • Meets with business units and IT associates to define issues and develops solutions and efficiencies to address identified issues
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience is required
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNP) Minimum
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork
  • Ideal candidate has ten years or more experience in networking, has worked on upgrading, configuring, securing and deploying Cisco routers and switches, Cisco ASA, contextual and Firepower firewalls, Cisco Nexus and fabric infrastructure, Cisco AnyConnect, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 load balancers
  • Must demonstrate a solid working knowledge of moderately complex systems, including experience with EIGRP, F5, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, IPS, TACACS.
  • Should demonstrate the ability to lead and work on projects, meet deadlines, take direction, mentor junior staff members and be a team player, as well as have the ability to work independently
Required Skills/Technical Tools/Experience:
  • CCNA/CCNP required at minimum
  • CCIE preferred
  • MCP preferred
  • Cisco routers/switches
  • Cisco fabrics
  • F5 load balancers
  • Cisco ASA Firewalls
  • Cisco Contextual Firewalls
  • Cisco Firepower Firewalls
  • Palo Alto firewalls and other network devices
  • Cisco Nexus 9x
  • Must have strong documentation skills
  • Must be able to hit the ground running, work w/minimal direction/supervision and be flexible on schedule, as this role could require OT and once deployed, will likely need to support some after hours and weekends Network Admin support
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as will need to communicate daily across the Team
