Job Description

Job Summary

Assists with all matters related to set-up and filings for multiple states. Performs multi-state payroll entries and work in a fast paced environment. Provides multi-state and multi-entity experience and be comfortable in a fast paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Researches regulatory tax law changes and ensure compliance; provides the team with support in implementing any necessary changes.
  • Collectively collaborates with team to proactively monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely tax filing & reporting to government authorities
  • Participates in a wide variety of ad-hoc projects, process improvements, and analysis.
  • Assists with setting up new tax jurisdictions.
  • Participates in year-end processing.
  • Answers all tax related questions from employees and making tax and wage corrections.
  • Leads payroll audits.
  • Maintains tax site credentials and account set ups.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree | Preferred

Certifications
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) | American Payroll Association (APA) | Preferred
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) | American Payroll Association (APA) | Preferred

Minimum Work Experience
  • 2 to 5 years of prior multi-state payroll experience including People Soft, Great Plains (or other ERP system)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay Rate
$36.00 - $42.50 Hourly
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
