On the most beautiful college campus in the country, SMU Mustangs are energized by unbridled opportunities – from teaching, learning and research to creativity, performance and athletic endeavor.About the Position:This role is an on-campus, in-person position.The Senior Program Specialist of Working Professional MBA Student Enrollment and Engagement manages the daily operations and provides academic advising and student services support for all students accepted into the Cox Working Professional MBA programs from orientation through graduation. Additionally, this role will work across the Working Professional MBA portfolio for streamlined student services support operations. Working Professional MBA programs on-board students three times per year: August, January, and May.Essential Functions:

    Provide advising/guidance/counseling in selecting and enrolling in courses, managing students' academic progress, as well as graduation eligibility.  This includes sending timely notices on enrollment, degree requirements, tuition deadlines and graduation processes and protocolMaintain accurate student records relating to enrollment, degree progress and graduation certification, academic probation, and academic concentrations and minorsManage student communications, including but not limited to:
    - Set up/maintain student email list-servs.
    - Create, update and maintain MBA program communication.
    - Coordinate with student clubs and Cox organizations to ensure they update and maintain events on the community calendar.
    - Enrollment dates and deadlines
     - Progress towards degree completionPlan and coordinate Orientation for each entry point-three per year (August, January, May).
    Plan and coordinate events; examples which could include: online and in-person social events, term prep sessions to orient students for the next semester coursesProvide additional support to broader Cox Graduate Student Enrollment and Engagement Team through special projects as assigned; examples which could include: December and May Commencement Ceremonies and Beta Gamma Sigma awards luncheon, admission


Qualifications
Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree is required, MBA or Masters in Higher Education Administration is preferred. A minimum of three years of experience is required, preferably in an academic environment.Experience providing student services or academic advising in a four year traditional higher education institution is desirable.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies (students, faculty, staff and administrators) in a diverse community. Must also demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in writing with a strong attention to detail. A strong customer service orientation is essential.Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills. The ability to provide accurate information is essential.Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to run projects independently, as well as work collaboratively in a team. The ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to changing priorities is essential. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required. Experience with a student record system (e.g. Peoplesoft) is strongly preferred.Physical and Environmental Demands:
