As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide design guidelines, technical oversight, project engineering and management services, client management and business development relating to wastewater projects. Further, you will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team in sophisticated and innovative projects, support in the training and mentorship of engineers and other technicians and become part of our regional leadership team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate project teams in the development of reports, planning studies, specifications, detailed design drawings, and other technical deliverables for treatment and infrastructure-related projects
  • Lead wastewater treatment planning and detailed design of wastewater hydraulics, process modeling, process design, equipment design and integration, maintenance of plant operation, process controls, and construction sequencing.
  • Distribute and oversee the work of subordinate technical staff and engineers
  • Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional organization meetings
  • Communicate effectively and coordinate with clients on projects during planning, design, and construction
  • Lead and support proposals, and scope and fee development; assist with business development pursuits
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and regulators to help create successful projects
  • Provide mentorship and development support to junior level staff
The Ideal Candidate will have the following skills:
  • Planning and design experience in wastewater treatment facilities, including design experience with preliminary treatment processes such as screening and grit removal process design, secondary treatment processes such as aeration tanks and bioreactor design and process design and modeling of biological processes for organics and nutrient removal, and tertiary process design including effluent filtration and disinfection.
  • Hands-on experience with wastewater treatment process analysis and troubleshooting, process design, process planning, and process analysis.
  • Detailed understanding of wastewater treatment physical-chemical and biological process mechanisms.
  • Strong project management and design management skills specific to wastewater treatment facility improvements
  • Experience with wastewater treatment facility construction and commissioning of facility upgrades and new facilities
  • Familiar with wastewater treatment regulations and restrictions
  • Experience managing clients and supporting business development
  • Ability to excel in a multidisciplinary team environment as well as independently
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in the wastewater treatment design with emphasis on upgrades of wastewater treatment facilities to add new process mechanical equipment and biological treatment system improvements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • Master's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred
  • Valid California Professional Engineering license is preferred, or an e Professional Engineering license in another state with the ability to obtain a California license within one year of but not required.

Salary range: $117,000 - $180,000 based on experience.
