The Senior SaaS Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and closing new SaaS business within the targeted industry segment for the SensibleIoT business lineSensibleIoT utilizes proprietary computer software applications and web platforms to help our clients with an integrated solution to quantify, monitor, report, verify and visualize environmental data by using innovative combinations of advanced sensor technology, traditional environmental instrumentation, and data management tools and interfaces.

The Senior SaaS Business Development Manager will direct and support the SaaS Business Development Manager to develop and manage the sales pipeline. The Senior SaaS Business Development Manager will be responsible for building and managing the sales development function. They will be required to meet directly with, qualify, and close new business with prospective clients. The Senior SaaS Business Development Manager coordinates and supports SaaS sales demos and presentations with prospects and product management teams.

You'll need at least 5 years of experience of SaaS Outside Sales experience and be ready to make an impact from day one.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a key member of the SensibleIoT business line, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

  • Build, develop, and manage the full sales cycle to ensure quarterly goals are met
  • Coach and collaborate with the SaaS Business Development Manager to uncover and qualify opportunities
  • Research the latest in the industry and create new opportunities to expand business
  • Build and implement repeatable, scalable processes to drive pipeline opportunities from inbound and outbound leads
  • Continuously improve existing processes and sales operations functions including database intelligence, lead tracking, product feedback loop, and channel sales tracking
  • Support the SaaS Business Development Manager and marketing team with content for proposal templates and marketing tools such as blogs, landing pages, campaigns, case studies, press releases, etc.
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Drive/own strategies and plans as well as measuring and reporting success
  • Act as a subject matter expert and effectively communicate SensibleIoT's product solution; effectively articulate our pitch, including an overview of key features and benefits, service offerings, differentiation, and competitive positioning
  • Provide reports on key metrics including weekly flash updates and monthly detailed reports
  • Develop, perform and manage additional duties as required
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • B.A. /B.S. with relevant professional experience in the SaaS market sector
  • At least 5 years of SaaS Outside Sales experience, preferably at an enterprise software or high-tech company
  • Must have SaaS operations and or related SaaS sales experience
  • Exceptional understanding and capabilities with report generation and campaign management with Salesforce.com
  • Documented success leveraging LinkedIn to generate, qualify and drive organic growth
  • Microsoft Office and PPT strong experience
  • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills, including a demonstrated ability to lead multi-discipline teams and motivate others
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
  • Able to work independently, managing multiple responsibilities (i.e., self-starter, self-motivated)
  • Resourcefulness, flexibility, and resiliency to operate in a dynamic work environment
  • Exceptional listening, comprehension and restating skills
  • Excellent analytical skills, strategic thinking and creative problem solving
  • Excellent business acumen and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate and speak to effective sales strategy and process in the required industry targets (Oil and Gas, School Districts, Higher Education and Community)
  • Ability to present and interact with all levels of the organization
  • High level spoken and written English
  • Capability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness and ability to work remotely and travel 50% of the time, to support internal and external stake holders and drive new business revenue
  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee may be required to spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, and is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear
