Position Overview

As a Sr. Salesforce Developer on the Enterprise Applications team, you will be working in a development role that supports all areas of the company. We are looking for an individual that will be central to continually improving and enhancing the Salesforce platform for our organization. This position will be responsible for delivering custom development and design requirements to support our Lead-to-Cash and Customer Success/Support systems. You will work alongside our Salesforce Administrator to collaborate on specifications based on stakeholder requirements, validate the proposals, and deliver the solutions.

Responsibilities

• • Collaborate with Salesforce Administrator and Development teams to validate business requirements and system considerations around scalability, security, and governor limits on the platform
  
  • Develop Apex and Visualforce to extend platform capabilities and automation
  
  • Custom interface development on Lightning Web Components, Aura Components, and Visualforce pages
  
  • Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with external systems within the organization
  
  • Ability to effectively debug and resolve issues and/or defects reported from the production systems
  
  • Write/maintain test classes for all custom development
  
  • Adhere to Salesforce best practices and collaborate with the Development team on design documentation and standardization
  
  • Take ownership of your work within the release cycle including impact analysis, merging branches for release, and pull requests
  
  • Maintain customizations integrated with other business applications such as CPQ, Boomi, SAP Commissions, etc.
  

Requirements

• • Salesforce development experience of at least 5 years in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Experience Cloud platforms
  
  • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I
  
  • Ability to effectively communicate with business stakeholders and Enterprise Applications team members
  
  • Experience implementing in Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and JavaScript
  
  • General web development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  
  • Experience working with large data sets and bulkification
  
  • Ability to gather and refine requirements with a cross-functional team and business process owners
  

Bonus

• Additional Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I, Platform App Builder
  
• Experience in other languages / development (e.g. XML, JavaScript, .NET, SQL, SOAP-based web services)
  
• Significant experience with Salesforce CPQ and/or Salesforce Experience Cloud platform (e.g. Customer Service, Partner Relationship Management)
  
• Experience with Salesforce APIs to integrate external systems
  
• Comfortable leading other developers within a team
  
• Experience with DevOps or CICD toolsets (e.g. Flosum, Gitlab, Gearset, Copado)
  
• Experience with QA Automation toolsets (e.g. Selenium, Provar, AccessHQ, testlm)
  

Compensation:
Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Irvine, CA is $97,000-$165,400. This position is remote and compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
