RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Olive Branch, MS.Responsibilities:

• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs
• Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
• Authors, reviews and approves technical designs
• Mastery of domain programming language
• Engineers extensible solutions with the team in mind and can fix complex bugs
• Reviews code to ensure it is functionally correct and consistent with the technical design
• Accountable for domain dependencies and critical paths
• Accountable for complex stories and integration or business requirements
• Accountable for domain dependencies and critical paths
• Anticipates risks and provides contingency solutions and timelines
• Defines useful metrics and targets for domain
• Measurably improves processes and best practices to achieve goals

REQUIREMENTS:

• 8+ years of experience in application engineering and development - full stack engineer, backend heavy
• Tech Stack: Full stack resource - backend heavy: Java and Microservices, springboot framework, JPA hibernate
• Databases: Oracle, Sql, Cassandra
• Middleware: Kafka, Tibco (replacement with Apache Camel)
• Front end: Angular JS (supply chain side)
• Services Platform - Jenkins/repository - on-prem deployments (operations side server monitoring)
• Service Monitoring: ELK, Elastic
• Application performance monitoring: App Dynamics
• Understanding the behavior of an application and then duties from there: access log files, know how to utilize log files, extract from the logs when errors occur, etc.
• Automation - CICD pipeline, Junits/sonar cubes
• Methodology: 100% Agile (2 weeks), Waterfall-ish with vendor partners (Manhattan)
• Familiar with industry standards around IT change management and development deployments
• Logistic related applications is a plus (i.e. Supply Chain Applications, including Warehouse Management System (Manhattan PkMS / WMOS), Final Mile, Transportation Management, Manhattan Labor Management, Rate Shopping tools (Proship); Experience in AS400/RPG is a plus
