Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. What you'll do:

• Help build the next generation of platform supporting walmart plus, create applications that serve over 100 million customers, and build high-volume servers to support business.
  
• Harness passion for technology and advanced-level knowledge, and help build highly-scalable performant solutions.
  
• Make use of advanced-level knowledge of algorithms, walmart's tech ecosystem, core computer science concepts and ability to apply knowledge to real world systems.
  
• Without direct assistance, make the most of ability to recognize and match patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems and hone skill in making architectural decisions.
  
• Employ deep knowledge across several of these areas: data processing, programming languages, databases, networking and operating systems.
  
• Design and implement efficient monitoring systems for cloud services in a production environment.
  
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on service operations and quality.
  
• Develop tools and/or contribute to automation of repetitive tasks to improve productivity and reduce errors/incidents.
  
• 5% travel to various unanticipated domestic/international locations
  
• Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.
  

What you'll bring:

• Experience designing and implementing RESTful microservices and stream processing services using Java 8, Spring Boot 2.4, Maven, and Tomcat 9.
  
• Deep knowledge in using Java, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  
• Expertise in creating and optimizing database schemas, utilizing best practices and software design patterns.
  
• Writing comprehensive unit and functional test cases using JUnit and Mockito framework.
  
• Experience in utilizing RDBMS, distributed, and in-memory cache for application development.
  
• Knowledge in designing and developing eCommerce web-based applications and features such as profile membership, add to cart, shipping, payment, and order management.
  
• Ability to implement event-driven architecture using Kafka streaming platform for application development.
  
• Expertise at managing source code using Git and deploy applications using Cloud services.
  
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads in Kubernetes across public and private clouds in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  
• Configure APM dashboards, set up alerting, and monitor applications using Grafana and Prometheus.
  
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting distributed applications in production environments.
  
• Working knowledge of private and public cloud technologies.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00-$234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
