Position Overview
We are currently looking for an experienced Sr. Software Engineer to join our data platform team. In this role you will be developing new class of services, bringing large scale graph processing to our highly scalable data for location-based analytics. You will be driving development of new services and algorithms to support spatial and temporal retrieval and transformation of tens of thousands of datasets. You will work in a team with highly qualified and accomplished data and software engineers to build, enhance, and maintain our data platform that supports our best-in-class products for Commercial Real Estate.
What you will do and achieve:

• Develop the delivery of LightBox's data platform establish graph-based storage, traversal and retrieval across thousands of datasets, storing over a petabyte of spatial, relational and raster data. Support services serving over five billion API calls per month
• Work with an agile team to deliver solutions and services for data platform to support delivery of LightBox's large scale data lake strategy
• Drive core aspects of architecture, storage patterns and services to derive new graph-based models of historically relational data. Surface new patterns and services for representation of entity-based relationships with new and novel traversals, mutations and golden record applications.
• Engage with cross organizational teams collaborating on Data Ingestion Services and Data Engineering to develop single consistent series of services and solutions
• Works well with evolving requirements based on results of teams continuing investigation, development and customer feedback
• Adhere to best practices around source code versioning, automated testing and dependency management.
• Investigate and resolve technical and non-technical issues, resolving critical incidents in timely manner and with a through root cause analysis.
• Contribute to LightBox's overall technology strategy and roadmap as an active member of its architectural leadership team.

Who you are:
Education

• B.S. in Computer Science (or equivalent)

Experience

• 7 or more years of experience in software engineering
• 3 or more years of experience with graph databases and algorithms

Knowledge & Skills

• Highly experienced in Node.js / javascript
• Structure representation of complex relationships via graphs, ensuring consistency for data traversals, and mutations
• Deep understanding and expertise with Graph processing, databases and algorithms.
• Fundamentals of computer science and software engineering.
• Defining GraphQL based access APIs for new graph-based data storage.
• Prior experience in migration of relational data to graph data stores a plus.
• Data lake design strategies for metadata, ontology, governance, authorization, etc. a plus.
• Modern practices around agile development, release management, continuous integration, system reliability a plus.
• Prior experience working with federated graphs a plus.
• .NET experience a plus.
