*ABOUT THE TEAM:*
The Best Buy Healthas Marketing Technology engineering team is responsible for the robust customer communication Systems. The team is responsible to deliver new systems and new way of communication with customers. Additionally, the team is charged with providing an elegant platform for our internal stakeholders to integrate new products and services. This new teamas initial roadmap will include standing up and integrating a new customer communication system & process in Best Buy Health infrastructure. We also strive to maintain a strong bond and trust between our internal teams (architecture, development, test, configuration, and operations). *ABOUT THE JOB:*
Best Buy Health is seeking a Senior QA Engineer who can influence and shape quality in all aspects of software development. We are looking for someone with a passion for quality that can assist in building a culture of learning and continuous improvement for the team. A successful candidate will be well-versed in developing test plans and scripts and thrives on a test-it-to-break-it mentality. You will advocate on behalf of the customer to ensure we deliver high quality products.
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
aC/ Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
aC/ Mentor and influence team in quality mindset, test case management, test methodology and automation tools
aC/ Drive higher quality through clear and thorough test plans and scripts
aC/ Develop, maintain and own test plans for multiple products
aC/ Research, analyze, track, and report on code defects
aC/ Troubleshoot and resolve environment issues (integration, test, staging, production)
aC/ Support the development of black and white box testing strategies, automation tools and technology solutions
aC/ Implement and contribute to improvements in test planning, process, and test case management
aC/ Other duties as assigned
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
*Education: *Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
*Experience: *
aC/ Minimum of 5 years of formal SQA experience required
aC/ Prior experience working on Agile teams, processes, methodologies preferred
aC/ Prior experience delivering high availability enterprise software products preferred
aC/ Prior experience with multiple database technologies (SQL Server, NOSQL databases) preferred
*Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: *
aC/ Ability to execute and contribute to test harnesses, automation tools and technologies (SQL scripts, RESTful API)
aC/ Knowledge of cloud-based SaaS implementations
aC/ Strong communication and collaboration skills
aC/ Organized and detail oriented
aC/ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
aC/ Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve conflict
aC/ Strong Agile testing methodologies
aC/ Familiarity with continuous delivery processes and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Octopus)
