RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in search of a Senior Staff Accountant in Woodland, CA.Duties:

• Manage the inventory cost function
• Manage inventory items
• Maintain accounting of inventory reserves
• Analyze inventory risk
• Analyze materials usage and variances
• Prepare inventory reports
• Manage the development of overhead and labor standards
• Analyze and explain variances in direct labor and overhead
• Support financial statement audits
• Provide financial updates to management
• Provide product cost estimating
• Participate in cost reduction initiatives
• Provide product line margin analysis
• Assist with special projects as assigned
• Performs other duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 4+ years of experience as a Senior Accounting from public accounting or private industry
• Some experience in manufacturing, consumer packaged goods or retail clients is preferred
• Cost experience is highly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analysis and presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills
