Description:
The Senior Staff Designer position requires a highly creative and innovative individual with strong technical skills to lead and support product design and development efforts. The Senior Staff Designer plays a critical role in product design, development, and improvement. They are expected to challenge existing processes and bring innovation to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support product design and development.
- Create 3D models and convert them into 2D drawings.
- Participate in design reviews.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
- Apply clear communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Creo for 3D modelling.
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Manufacturing knowledge, especially in plastic manufacturing.
- Ability to conduct calculations and basic analysis.
- Familiarity with DFMEAs
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with FEA tools (Ansys, Abaqus).
- Knowledge of materials science and its effects on design.
- Proficiency in sheet metal design (desired).
