High-Level Project Summary/Intro: Dev Technology Group is looking for Senior Unix/Linux Engineer/Administrator to join our team who brings a range of skills to our government customer's system needs. You will be working along with a web application development team to build out and maintain several AWS environments to support full-stack deployments using DevOps best practices. You will collaborate with team members and stakeholders to help create and maintain solutions that meet the client's needs. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and in coordination with other team members and other intersecting teams and thrive in learning new skills. What You'll Be Doing:

Perform duties that fall under the role of Unix administration, including but not limited to:

  • Managing storage and backups, download and apply patches to remediate security vulnerabilities, and apply patches to EC2 instances using AWS Patch Manager
  • Maintain Solaris and Linux in OIS on-prem L3 and Prod environments
  • Manage multiple application servers including Weblogic, Talend, Tomcat, Apache etc
  • Assists with migrating applications to AWS EC2 instances
  • Provide stabilization and AWS cloud migration team for OIS systems
  • Maintain SFTP server and lockbox interfaces for multiple agencies and customers
  • Provision EC2 instances to host applications
  • Analyzing security scan results
  • Perform installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • 7+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Equivalent experience in lieu of education acceptable (11 years of total related experience).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders at various levels and collaborate cross functionally to drive
  • Experience creating and maintaining Solaris and Linux file systems and maintaining user and application accounts
  • Experience working with security teams for ATO and providing relevant documentation
  • Experience maintaining Solaris LDOM cluster and Linux systems
  • Ability to operate and maintain NetBackup systems and the VMWare
  • Ability to apply patch updates to remediate known vulnerabilities on Solaris and Linux systems
  • Demonstrate experience administering and troubleshooting web applications and networks on a Linux system within an AWS environment.
  • Competency and expertise with the following: Unix/Linux, VM Ware, Unix Infrastructure, Solaris
  • Demonstrable experience in UNIX, Linux Server Support, designing, troubleshooting and storage implementation
  • Ability to articulate standard methodologies for during implementation
  • Proven experience in risk-based systems running on UNIX / LINUX platforms along with OS clustering, partitioning and virtualization
  • Demonstrated experience in handling day-to-day UNIX / LINUX operating system installation, migration and break-fix support
  • Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to ensure client needs and expectations are met or exceeded
Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
  • Experience with development in a government contracting environment

Our estimated salary range for this position is $120,000-$160,000. This presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on education, experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.
