GHD has a great opportunity for Senior Water Resource Engineer/Project Manager in our Santa Rosa office. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your local relationships and knowledge and be involved in challenging projects that will offer an opportunity to grow your career!

As a Senior Engineer and Project Manager, you will lead all aspects of projects for municipal and community water engineering projects. The position will consist of managing projects and staff while supporting business development and providing client relationship management.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serving as project manager, maintaining project budgets and schedules
  • Preparing technical reports and alternative analyses
  • Developing plans, specifications, and cost estimates (PS&E)
The ideal candidate would have the following experience/skills
  • Developing project scope, schedule, and budget
  • Strong technical writing skills; grant and proposal writing experience
  • Able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously; and have strong organizational, problem solving, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Client management experience
  • Demonstrated experience preparing PS&E packages
  • Ability to contribute to the continued growth of GHD's Northern California water group by expanding municipal water and wastewater engineering services
  • Grow and lead all aspects of the local water group's performance to achieve short and long-term goals
  • Mentor staff by providing direction, knowledge, and guidance
  • Current California Certified Drinking Water Treatment and Distribution Operator Licenses
  • Proven success winning work with water clients
  • Experience working with small, disadvantaged, and rural communities
  • Experience in project design and delivery
Qualifications:
  • Master of Science in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, or similar); PhD preferred
  • Current California Civil PE License
  • 8 plus years of civil engineering experience with a focus on public water and wastewater infrastructure planning and engineering design projects
