SUMMARY
Paragon Professional Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a Single Point Monitor Screener (SPES) for El Paso, TX. The Single Point Entry Screener is a dynamic job that requires physical, mental and cognitive abilities associated with a detention facility.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
- Greets and screens officers entering the facility and physically checks that officers meet entry requirements.
- Logs and maintains logs of suspected violations.
- Conducts routine maintenance and adjustments on monitoring equipment.
- Provide, when needed, immediate reports to management on number of incidents at Temperature Station.
- Performs interior and exterior surveillance.
- Performing all duties within the scope of facility safety and security.
- Other Duties assigned by Shift Captain, APM and PM

Required (Minimum) Qualifications - U.S. Citizen or LPR;
- Not currently employed by federal agency/active duty military;
- HS Graduate or GED;
- Meet physical/health requirements for duties.
- Valid Public Trust Clearance

2 years' experience as a detention/corrections operations Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics - Ability to timely and accurate reports on Word and Excel Formats
- English literacy and ability to write reports in English.
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
- Computer skills including proficiency in various Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Organizational skills commensurate with position.
- Possess ICE Clearance
- Ability to meet Physical Requirements as required by contract

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
