Position Pay Range:

This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.
$75,887.00-$121,419.00

Responsibilities

  • Performs moderately complex product design, systems analysis and programming activities on applications software which may require some research.
  • Performs design, implementation and maintenance of single product modules/sub-systems or on lower-level issues of multiple products.
  • Develops solutions that can be used through Web GUI or API technologies.
  • Prepares technical documentation of product sub-systems
  • Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits
  • Read and interpret design specifications.
  • Write moderately complex product designs, write code, modify and debug and implement CSG product applications.
  • Perform moderately complex application development consistent with design specifications.
  • Plan and prioritize competing demands to meet corporate and customer expectations.
  • Update various status documents including use of MS Word, MS Access, and MS Excel.
  • May provide mentoring
  • Understand impacts to critical path, processing and SLA's
  • May perform in consulting role
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks as required
  • May be asked to perform in a lead technician role, being chiefly responsible for the coordination of Online Application Development team activities with regard to a specific project
  • Performs moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Researches and evaluates problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions to the problems.
  • Support moderately complex application development in QA/test environment.
  • Support application development by researching and resolving moderately complex software issues.
  • Perform moderately complex release testing.
  • Conduct and complete Quality Inspections on development and support work. Participate in co-workers Quality Inspections.
  • May assist in performing on-site client work on moderately complex applications.
  • May interface with end-user to define requirements
  • Researches and understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria. Research new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.

Experience
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • 3 to 5 years work experience required
  • IT knowledge in software development methodologies/processes, design, implementation and documentation.
  • Experience in Unix and Linux environments
  • Advanced SQL knowledge.
  • Advanced HTML/XML knowledge.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently, minimal supervision, in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic product-driven environment.
  • Desired skills include Java Script, Python, Node.js, HTML, SQL
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong desire and aptitude to learn and apply new skills.
  • A strong desire to work closely with team members in an agile environment.
Software Development Methodologies

Advanced IT knowledge in software development methodologies/processes, design, implementation, and documentation
  • Development Languages - Desired skills include Java Script, Node.js, HTML, Perl, C++, REST, SQL
  • Testing Tools - PyTest, Selenium or similar.
  • Operating Systems - RedHat, Linux, and Microsoft Windows
  • Network Technologies - Advanced knowledge and use of TCP/IP protocol.
  • 3rd Party Products - Ability to use Microsoft Office tools.
