Summary:

Fortellis Automotive Commerce Exchange™ platform, a technology engine that enables seamless connections and greater collaboration to occur among everyone involved in serving automobile consumers, such as dealers, manufacturers, software developers, lenders and data providers.

Fortellis is growing and expanding. We are looking for a software engineer. This person will be part of the Fortellis platform team to work in a fast-paced environment and to build the platform to change the industry. This is a hands-on, results oriented position with innovation and execution mindset.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for working on cool stuff. And can work well with cool people. We love the energy shown in your projects (and those side projects you do, 'just for you'). This position is based on Austin, TX, or San Jose, CA

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement key components of the Platform and web applications.
• Collaborate closely with product management and UX to create innovative user interfaces and features, optimized for large scale requirements
• Debug client/server applications and troubleshoot integration issues
• Focus on Test Driven Development with automation
• Contribute technically to different work streams
• Build production-quality systems for reliability and scale to a given timescale

Tech stack

• Solid understanding of computer science principles
• Expert level knowledge in Java, Node.js
• Expert level knowledge with modern web UI frameworks (i.e. React)
• Experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, IAM)
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
• Experience with Git, Atlassian stack
• Familiar with API testing framework
• Familiar with Selenium framework
• Familiar with OpenAPI Spec
