Summary:

We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our growing team and roster of products. It is a unique opportunity to build several greenfield applications from the ground up, collaborate across different organizations and work with a highly cross-functional team.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing and advocating high quality across an increasing amount of customized user experiences while maximizing the engineering velocity of deployed changes. You will be working alongside UX, Product, Tech leads and Software Developers among others.

You will have opportunities and challenges to grow your quality engineering skill-set by assessing functional, usability, compatibility, resiliency, performance, security, and accessibility testing. Your expertise will be used to test across various web and mobile applications, api integrations and much more.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as appropriate.

  • Assert quality by performing functional, usability, compatibility, performance, and security testing. Turn complex testing issues and tools into simple and fun documentation for others to use.
  • Work in a dynamic deploy cycle to test web apps and new product features, create and execute weekly test plans used during the deploy cycle
  • Perform Database and API testing implemented using RESTful and SOAP services.
  • Test across various applications as well as browsers and devices (mobile, tablets, etc.)
  • Communicate well (in person, on paper, or in code)
  • Document, share and advocate best test practices and continuous process improvements
  • Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • This position involves regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
  • Performs other duties as outlined in individual objectives.

Education and/or Experience The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of an associate degree in Computer Science or industry certifications.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a strong manual QA engineer
  • Strong Website, API, Database testing experience
  • Strong knowledge of JSON, XML, SOAP and RESTFul APIs
  • Ability to work with multiple teams and cross-functional leaders to make sure components are deployed and tested.
  • Ability to turn complex testing and tools into simple documentation or processes
  • Driving an idea or process improvement to completion
  • Working knowledge of technical concepts (software development, systems integration, git flow, system/application architecture)
  • Experience working on tools like TestRail, Jira, Confluence, Postman, JMeter, Katalon
  • Experience working in a SAFe, DevOps/CICD, and Agile/Scrum development methodology.
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

Preferred

  • Automated test experience using Selenium, Cucumber, Python, etc.
  • Experience working in Auto financing or Automotive vertical
  • Experience testing applications built on Salesforce platform
  • Expertise testing high-performance distributed systems
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD Pipeline platform tools (Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of programming languages (YAML, Groovy, shell, bash etc.)

Other Skills and Abilities: Excellent time management, decision making, prioritization and organization skills. Proven technical aptitude and proven customer service aptitude.
