Position Summary
The software tester, will be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment. The tester will conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to everyday users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Install and run regression tests on a new NGTS test build (multiple builds weekly).
- Test a variety of Jira issues from new feature implementation to bug fixes to database queries.
- Document test results discovered issues in Jira.
- Collaborate with NGTS software developers and subject matter experts during training sessions.
- Create new test procedures documents to validate new requirements.
- Communicate access a large team to verify correct procedures and software issue diagnosis.
- Run extensive regression tests when software reaches Release Candidate (RC) phrase.
RequirementsThe position is contingent upon candidate's ability to meet physical and medical requirements as needed by the position; thereby, including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local jurisdictional requirements with respect to COVID-19, as well as any Government or customer site-specific requirements. Minimum RequirementsKnowledge and Skills The required skills and knowledge include
Experience with C++ and Python 3 languages a plus
The minimum years of related experience required:
Minimum of 4 years with testing/developing software products.
Education The minimum level of education required is:
BS in Computer Science or related discipline
Desired Requirements The desired skills, knowledge, and education include
- Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance.
- Prior experience supporting Modeling and Simulation efforts and automated testing
