The Sr. Corporate FP&A Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing the financial planning, budgeting, and review of our corporate department expenditures, supporting the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes, as well as the preparation of the quarterly and annual presentations and reports. You'll need at least 1 year of experience in financial systems or database management, business analysis, FP&A, business integration, and analytics and be a leading change agent in order to be successful.

We have expanded into Canada, Australia and Europe so multi-national experience, or the interest to gain that experience, is highly preferred.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a key member of the Corporate FP&A team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
  • Creates reports and analyses in the reporting and planning system for key stakeholders and executive team through the continual development and improvement of the Board Software platform.
  • Maintains and further develops our Business Intelligence reporting and analysis tool.
  • Supports month end close, expense management, journal entries, and other deliverables.
  • Supports with quarterly Board of Directors presentation, financial tables, key indicators, including measurement of performance against covenants.
  • Supports the management of the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting processes, with a focus on template management, transparency into plans, and partnering with executive management and senior operational staff.
  • Project-based review of actual results against budgeted and forecasted plans with deep-dives into pricing, revenue recognition models, and labor utilization and multipliers.
  • Participates in company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
  • Keeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics or related field from an accredited university.
  • 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, at a minimum an expert level user of pivot tables, v-lookup, index-match, and macros.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and all levels of management.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Solid organization and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, managing responsibilities (i.e. self-starter, self-motivated).
  • This position may require remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another, communicating with others to exchange information, repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers, and assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS THAT WILL SEPARATE YOU FROM THE REST
  • Experience with large data sets and querying tools.Prefer candidates with background in how to translate large data sets into information for senior and executive staff to utilize and take action.
  • Project management skills, including usage of project management tools.
  • Understanding of the full income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Department operating expense management experience.
  • Worked in database management, business analytics, and with business intelligence tools.
  • Experience at a multi-national corporation.
  • Corporate FP&A experience in a publicly listed company.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting.
  • CPA, CFA, or CMA
