The senior director, engagement, oversees the coordination, operation, and implementation of all strategic operations for assigned constituent organizations to foster high levels of donor participation. Additionally, the incumbent develops and implements effective engagement strategies to meet designated department(s') engagement and fundraising goals.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

Builds a comprehensive donor engagement/solicitation strategy and coordinates and plans donor functions and activities. Maintains and solicits a portfolio of assigned prospects. Establishes an annual calendar of events and meetings and prepares all meeting and

committee components.

Writes and maintains an archival record for all minutes of applicable meetings. Researches and maintains confidential materials associated with donors and updates information. Develops an annual budget for donor engagement activities and monitors it on an ongoing basis. Builds and maintains donor mailing lists and coordinates and plans alumni functions and activities. Formulates an appropriate and effective schedule of events such as class reunions. Uses various recruitment and communication vehicles, such as direct mail, telephone campaign, and e-mails. Identifies and develops new engagement opportunities. Fosters relationships with prospects and leads to motivate present and future donations. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required

Certification and Licensing:

Not Applicable

Experience:

Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
