Position Overview

Position Overview:

The Director / Sr. Director, Product Management is responsible for overseeing and developing information products for the assigned industry/sector. This person partners closely with clients, the industry, and internal teams to deliver quality products that enable our clients to make data-driven decisions and drive their growth. Implementing efficiencies across the Sector that correlate directly to cost/time reduction will be paramount within this role. This individual will stay aligned with industry trends and clients' changing needs in order to actively identify/pursue new category opportunities. This individual will build outstanding cross-functional relationships and maintain rapport across organization to ensure business alignment and achieve shared business objectives.

This position can be in the following locations:

New York, Port Washington, NY, Chicago, IL, San Diego, CA, Houston, TX, Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA, Bentonville, AR or Virtual.

What you will work on:

Industry Immersion:

  • Interface directly with clients, prospects, and the Client Development teams to identify key market needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape to support product strategy recommendations
  • Evaluate information on client needs and satisfaction; Evangelize the voice of the client internally and provide recommendations


Product Strategy and Revenue Growth:
  • Develop, execute, and evangelize the product vision and supporting strategies internally and externally
  • Drive product portfolio pipeline planning throughout the product lifecycle(s)
  • Set and achieve established revenue goals and deliver YoY growth


Product Discovery and Roadmap Management:
  • Develop product framework across sector(s) and ensure execution of fundamental concepts including product/market fit, product tests, client discovery process, and long-term product health
  • Oversee product requirements and enhancements
  • Engage with clients and conduct discovery sessions related to product road mapping, new products, enhancements, upsells, and data change.


Product Development:
  • Identify new product opportunities which enable revenue growth
  • Create and prioritize product requirements, translating the needs across clients into specs for product capability
  • Work with implementation team to bring specs alive into a product, negotiating between scope


Product Marketing:
  • Lead the sector(s) sales and go-to-market strategies in partnership with cross-functional team
  • Determine product pricing strategies and rate cards for sector(s) in partnership with Commercial and FP&A team


Creating Engaging and Driving a High-Performing Team:
  • Collaborate with Product leadership and cross-functional leadership to ensure team goals and responsibilities are clearly defined
  • Build team culture by engagement and development to strengthen performance and drive goals.


What we are looking for:
  • 7-10 years of product management experience in market research/information, B2B or SaaS products, developing new products, business plans and product requirements
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science or above; Master's Degree desired
  • Deep experience working within or background in the Apparel industry
  • Strong product management experience working with data/information preferably in syndicated and/or custom research; Experience in building digital/software products; Experience working with POS/consumer data a plus
  • Experience leading and developing high performing teams in a customer-centric, profit driven environment
  • Prior experience working in Tableau, Alteryx, or the equivalent
  • Expert in all MS Office products (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences; Ability to represent the product in client-facing situations, whether in a pre-sales support capacity, a problem-solving setting due to client dissatisfaction, or conducting a feedback session
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a full product portfolio, including current products and create a vision for new products
  • Adept in use of strategic product life cycle practices such as market/client assessment, competitive
