Summary:

Responsible for establishing overall functional goals and objectives and provides leadership over the Facilities organization to include Security and Real Estate Ensures that all departmental activities are aligned with overall company goals and strategies. Develops and implements systems and processes to ensure best in class Facilities and Real Estate management tools are implemented to enable Dexcom's long term growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Simplifies existing systems and processes to establish a best in class operating models.
  • Develops and maintains Global standards for Facilities - robust URS development to include Product, Process and Business system requirements.
  • Strategically plans and delivers project performance on-time, on budget and with high quality results that meet project specs.
  • Regularly evaluates staffing needs, resourcing with an appropriate balance of employees and consultants while always considering future needs
  • Recruits, hires, and develops staff to fill key roles in the Facilities organization
  • Effectively leads a diverse team of professionals across multiple sites and locations
  • Develops the Global facilities Vision that can be implemented with local execution both internally and externally.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, regulations and security laws in the medical device technology space.
  • Coordinates and communicates with other senior leaders on product roadmap, operational opportunities and challenges, partnership opportunities, key performance indicators, financial results and other management priorities.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the department understands and complies with quality standards and requirements as documented.

  • Assumes and performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • 15+ years' experience in leadership of technical staff with a track record of progressive growth in responsibility.
  • Track record of recruiting exceptional talent and building high performing teams
  • 10+ years' experience leading geographically remote teams
  • Demonstrated track record of project management success while running complex global projects
  • Proven abilities to manage, mentor, and motivate employees
  • Ability to organize, motivate and lead diverse technology and project teams in a quickly growing and agile/flexible corporate environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a large number of diverse projects while constantly communicating results across the organization and maintaining alignment with senior executives.

Travel Required:
  • 0-24%

Exempt Salary Details:

The annual base salary range for this role is $181,000 to $301,600. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.

Location: Open to Mesa, Arizona or San Diego, California

Experience and Education

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 17+ years of industry experience.
  • 13+ years of years of successful leadership experience in relevant industry.
