Fortra is looking to add a Senior HRIS Analyst to our team. The primary focus of this position is the management and maintenance of the human resource management system (HRMS) in addition to other systems supported by the HR Operations team. This position serves as a main point of contact for HRIS, ensuring timely and accurate entry of data, data integrity, system training, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The Senior HRIS Analyst also supports upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provides overall management and maintenance of the HRIS to achieve the highest level of performance.
  • Manages the data entry and record-keeping of employment data and within HRIS solutions, maintaining employee records (payroll, time off, benefits, personal information).
  • Partners with other HR team members to ensure we meet government reporting obligations related to EEO, OSHA, AAP, VETS, etc.
  • Coordinates with global HR team members including Sr. Payroll Analyst on appropriate personnel and pay changes within HRIS and ensure data integrity and compliance in all relevant jurisdictions. Provide support and feedback to the regional HR Managers to drive consistent practices within the HRIS.
  • Manages all policies, employee acknowledgements, and electronic employee personnel files within HRIS. Partners with other HR Team members to facilitate the implementation of new and revised policies for employees.
  • Develop and deliver tools to train HR team members, managers and employees on HRIS new processes/functionality applicable to their role to ensure HRIS provides optimal support to various client groups.
  • Recommend process improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll). Use project management skills in managing projects. May provide overall project management for a given HR initiative.
  • Solve problems of various scopes where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors; exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action; may recommend changes to existing procedures and practices based on analysis of data.
  • Designs and prepares reports for employee data contained in the HRIS in response to requests from users within Human Resources and from users in other departments. Ensures data integrity and follows quality control measures for data accuracy.
  • Provides system administration for all modules and add/on solutions within HRIS; Manages relationship with vendor, Configures system to current business processes, Creates guidelines documentation of all system configurations, Acts as the data expert for standardization and integration throughout the firm, Ability to analyze, recommend and develop reporting, Maintains system security access control by creating roles and granting permissions.
  • Resolves HRIS issues; acts as "troubleshooter" for HRIS. Works with IT, Payroll, vendors and others in setting up tables and defining data fields to insure proper reporting of data.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS.
  • Increase knowledge of HRIS applications/tools by participating in user group meetings and conferences. Keep current on industry.
  • Provides support to Senior Benefits & Compensation Analyst for Benefits Administration and answering employee questions.
  • Perform other duties, special projects and activities as required by the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in related field or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in related HR roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and technical support skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Thorough understanding of all areas of information systems with a highly technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product.
