Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing the technical expertise and guidance for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software.
  • Works closely with our marketing team to understand future and existing requirements of our high growth markets in order to develop innovative software solutions to our customers.
  • Works closely with new product development engineering and product line management to develop robust product road maps for our software, evaluating & testing new software platforms as needed.
  • Works with our Manager, Testing & Reliability to test software features and full releases, ensuring robust quality and performance before implementation into new products or at customers.
  • Deploys software team to customers to better understand performance and application requirements. Develops and reviews scope of work to ensure alignment to customer needs.
  • Leads the day-to-day development of software; leverages software and process experience to estimate and measure output of software and testing resources to ensure on-time delivery of releases.
  • Works with new product development engineering to understand and help coordinate the overall system design with hardware elements to deliver a cohesive product solution.
  • Participates in the review of product designs and specifications to ensure that new products are designed to the market and customer requirements. Supports overall product development efforts.
  • Demonstrates strong talent management ability focusing on hiring, coaching, directing, and developing employees while increasing engagement.
  • Develops software "architecture", determining how a full application is structured including, but not limited to, core software language, development environment and database usage.
  • Manages the writes code and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming language and technologies.
  • Other duties may be assigned


Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software or Computer Engineering or related Engineering field is required. Master's Degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in a software engineering leadership role is required.
  • Experience leading global teams outside of North America is required. Leadership experience throughout Asia market is preferred.
  • Previous iterative software development process experience is required (Example: Scrum)
  • Previous direct coding experience in the following is required:
    • Object oriented design patterns
    • Data structure and algorithms
    • Optimization for concurrency and memory management
    • DevOps including development and continuous integration (CI) tools.
    • C#, WPF. .NET
    • Both relational and non-SQK database
    • Machine vision & learning
    • GPU/CUDA
    • Implementation and management of an agile development environment

Compensation:

Salary range for this position is: $195,000 to $245,000.

The base salary pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, business considerations, and local market conditions, as well as candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, and skills.
