This outstanding hospital in South Texas is actively interviewing for a Sr Nursing Manager to oversee clinical and administrative operations in a busy Inpatient Neuroscience Medical Surgical Unit. The Senior Neuro Nursing Manager will join a respected hospital with a great reputation for superior patient care and outcomes. This 300+ bed hospital has earned its reputation by offering one of the best Neurosurgery and Spine Programs in the U.S., and as one of the best Cardiovascular and Stroke hospitals. The Manager will join a leadership team that puts patients first, and a health system that is fully dedicated to supporting the community.

Reporting to the Director of Inpatient Nursing, the Manager of Neuro Medical Surgical will oversee an outstanding team. Directly reporting to the Manager is a strong Certified Neuro Registered Nurse (CNRN) Supervisor and two Charge Nurses who lead a staff of RN Stroke and Neuro Specialists with comprehensive experience across a wide range of patient type and diagnosis.

This 22-bed Neuroscience Medical Surgical Unit tends to be quite full, partially because of the outstanding patient satisfaction that it’s known for, and partially for the progressive service offerings. The Nursing Manager will take oversight of a Unit that sees a wide range of conditions, from Stroke (both Hemorrhagic and Ischemic) and Aneurysms, to Brain Tumors and Cerebral Angioplasty/Stenting, all the way to Epilepsy and Parkinson’s.

The Manager of Inpatient Neuroscience will get to play a crucial role in the clinical and administrative success of this busy unit. This leader will work with educators and inpatient leaders from other departments to help develop and codify standards and practices that keep this Magnet-journey nursing program at the forefront of the medical field. The Medical Surgical Neuro Unit Senior Manager will also get to serve as hospital-wide leader through optional participation in committees for employee experience, patient satisfaction, and quality improvement. Working in collaboration with leaders in finance and operations, the Manager will also get to make significant impacts on improving the operational efficiencies of this unit.
