In this role, the Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for actively supporting and/or leading complex projects or programs, including the planning, management, and implementation of the assigned project, program, or portfolio within Technology. This will also involve areas outside Technology, such as Product and Operations, and the coordination of the delivery of development and production releases to ensure that Quality Assurance standards are met. The Sr, PM will create and maintain project plans to ensure the timely completion of tasks, major project milestones, and resource allocation. This team member will be required to communicate with stakeholders to ensure that all parties understand the current development priorities and will report progress to the Principal Project Manager for each of the functional units.

What you'll be doing:

• Responsible for the overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts at an enterprise level
• Creates and executes project work plans & timelines, and revises them as appropriate to meet the changing needs and requirements for strategic initiatives
• Manages the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and the scope

• Participates in project scoping with the cross-functional teams
• Effectively communicates relevant project information to cross-enterprise teams and leaders
• Routes work between all responsible team members in all stages of planning, development, and implementation
• Conveys project changes and updates the appropriate team members
• Facilitates team and client meetings to review work and understand the status

• Prepares regular status reports and distributes internally and externally if needed
• Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
• Monitors scope creep and re-scopes projects if necessary
• Educates and leads the teams on strategic changes in the organization
• Establishes and implements Project Management processes and methodologies for the Waystar community to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations

• Additional duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

• Experience as a Project Manager, leading Technology programs/projects covering multiple functional units
• Software development experience or a strong understanding of development
• Must be an analytical yet strategic thinker
• Outstanding presentation abilities and the ability to communicate at all levels of the Business
• Proven leadership experience

• Experience in building a trusting environment with project teams
• Awareness and experience with PMI methodologies
• Experience in playing the Project Manager role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Project Management principles, practices, and theory
• Superior working knowledge of business matters, finance, planning, & forecasting to manage program and business issues
• Excellent skills and knowledge of relationship-focused leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency

• PMP Certification
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
• Must be able and willing to travel on a periodic basis
