The HERE Business & Solution Architecture team leads customers & partners to achieve business results through the development and use of location intelligence. We enable automotive OEMs to produce award-winning navigation systems, Transportation leaders to improve fleet safety and efficiency, Retail businesses to better understand consumer behavior, and leading technology companies to provide world-class enterprise applications & user experiences.

As a Senior Solutions Architect supporting the HERE Strategic Alliances team, you will be responsible to lead technical solutioning efforts with our strategic partner Amazon Web Services. You will collaborate with industry experts, Sales, Engineering, and Product stakeholders to define scalable solutions built upon the HERE Platform, Reality Index, Location Services and the AWS portfolio. A Senior Solution Architect has strong cloud platform development and deployment expertise and provides technical consulting to customers as a trusted advisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner Engagement & Technical Discovery
    • Leads value-selling sales engagements with HERE and AWS Partner teams to identify and develop industry solutions
    • Clearly connect customer insights and pain points to relevant HERE & AWS products
    • Incorporate ecosystem and partner analysis in solution architecting proposals
    • Identify required project and technical steps to drive the opportunity
  • Solutions:
    • Serve as technical lead for large-scale solution design using microservice-based architectures on AWS.
    • Create optimal solution architectures and proposals (including Statements of Work) that uniquely solve AWS and 3 rd party business problems
    • Identify & mitigate risks throughout opportunity & development lifecycle
    • Build initial business case and proposals in support of proposed solutions
    • Develop proof-of-concept solutions using HERE and AWS technology components to support business development efforts
  • Customer:
    • Represent the voice of the customer back to HERE teams, including requirements, competitive insights & inputs for business cases to justify investment decisions
    • Build customer loyalty by becoming a trusted technical advisor for complex solutions
    • Engage with the customer to understand needs and expectations internally to ensure internal initiatives reflect customer business and technical requirements
  • Team Collaboration
    • Partner with account executives, partner managers, industry solutions teams to gain full understanding of our eco-system and partner network - to better inform solution options for our customers
    • Actively support the account teams with solution advice, presentations, and customer communications to ensure the success of the sales process
    • Build a network and engage with Business & Functional Groups to develop expertise across the HERE portfolio and Capabilities e.g. pricing, marketing, strategy, portfolio planning, research
  • Industry
    • Drive precision in technical aspects of Industry/segment's problem statements
    • Keep up to date with new industry and technology trends in order to maintain skill set and overall effectiveness
    • Develops and delivers solution briefs to be used as part of joint go-to-market sales efforts with Amazon Web Services.


Who are you?

Required qualifications
  • 8+ years experience in technical solution design, implementation, or consulting with a focus on cloud services or SaaS
  • 3+ years experience in software pre-sales consulting
  • BS / MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems
  • Current AWS certification - AWS Solutions Architect - Professional or AWS Solutions Architect - Associate
  • Domain expertise with geospatial information systems (GIS) and location services
  • Experience coordinating complex deliverables across engineering, production, subcontractors, marketing, and sales at varying positions in the value chain
  • Ability to operate in highly distributed teams
  • Proven ability to interface with all levels in Product, Development, and organizations; to manage up, down, and across effectively
  • Excellent communication skills - from engineering whiteboarding to CTO / executive presentation

Preferred Qualifications Experience:
  • Proficiency with Java, JavaScript, Python, Scala.
  • Demonstrable experience implementing Location Services into enterprise applications
  • Track record in delivering enterprise software solutions to market
  • Experience developing solutions that leverage artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data & analytics
  • Strong partner orientation - identifies and qualifies partner needs and opportunities
