Projects the candidate will be working on:

• ECAP team is looking for a resource to provide assistance in the development and support of the Capitation Program, supporting 2021 and 2022 initiatives.
• The Capitatioon business modfel is expanding with a broad and highly expanding agenda for 2022, and this resource wil lassit in the development and support of that agenda.

Ideal Background:

• Experience with the following technologies
• Cobol
• DB2
• SystemZ
• Java
• Kubernetes
• Openshift
• Jenkins
• Maven
• Rest Service Frameworks
• Kafka Event Processing
• Spark / Python
• AWS Cloud Computing a plus
• Healthcare knowledge a plus

Team and Team size:

• All developers in agile scrum environment.

Top Responsibilities:

• Work with business partners/product owners to understand desired system functionality.
• Understand new product capabilities and decompose the implementation into specific functional changes for verification
• Participate in Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases
• Review code and provide feedback relative to best practices and improving performance
• Perform comprehensive testing of product distributions prior to release
• Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required

Skills/attributes Required

• 7-10 years of sw development in Cobol
  2-3 years of Java frameworks

Skills/attributes Preferred

• Healthcare knowledge is preferred but not a must

Working Time:

• 9 am - 5 pm but will require flexible hours to collaborate with offshore teams
