Position Overview

The Sr. Tax Analyst - Global Tax role will support all aspects of the Global Tax group. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support to ensure the integrity and operational effectiveness of the tax function.

The role will handle a wide range of responsibilities including all aspects of tax provision preparation, and process improvements through the use of technology.

The position reports to the Director of Tax Operations - Global Tax and works closely with the Manager Tax - Global Tax. The position will also work closely with various stakeholders in Atlanta and across the globe. The position holder should have a solid understanding of various industry concepts, general business knowledge, intermediate accounting, and process improvement. The candidate should be highly motivated, a strategic thinker, and possess strong analytic, organizational, and project management skills.
Responsibilities & Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting with and/or preparation of US GAAP calculations including FIN18, APB23, FIN48, entity tax provisions, various quarterly provision reconciliations, tax OCI files, and valuation allowance analysis.
  • Responsible for assisting with and/or preparation of cash tax calculations, income tax projections, variance calculations, monthly management reports, and other calculations as they may arise.
  • Create and implement improvements for the tax provision process and other tax processes through the use of tax technology, Alteryx, OneStream and other available technology solutions to simplify complex processes and procedures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams such as IT and finance, and work with external consultants on special projects including tax efficiencies.
  • Act as the OneSource Tax Provision/Dataflow administrator.
  • Manage Dataflow including rolling Dataflow forward and pushing Dataflow to OneSource Tax Provision. Also, each quarter reconcile Dataflow to OneSource Tax Provision.
  • Prepare slide decks used in management presentations.
  • Assist with auditor requests.
  • Provide administrative support including managing SOWs, paying tax invoices, recording monthly tax department accruals, and being the primary contact for tax department vendors.

Qualifications:
  • A degree in accounting or finance and 2-3 years of related work experience; MST or MBA desirable
  • Experience in handling multiple types of financial and tax systems including, but not limited to Hyperion (HFM & HFP), Oracle, SAP, OneStream, Alteryx, and OneSource (including Dataflow and OTP)
  • Prior tax provision / ASC 740 experience
  • International tax experience is desirable
  • Ability to interpret and apply government regulations and related technical requirements to global business
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • High level of cross cultural awareness
