RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client in North Kingstown, RI is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This client is a retail company. They offer an excellent benefits package and an employee discount. The role can be fully remote or hybrid.Responsibilities:- Staff Accountant will compile and reconcile annual income tax information
- Provide support to executives and key staff, prepare ad-hoc reports, and participate in special projects
- Maintain professional development through education, publications, networking, and professional organizations
- Effectively utilize virtual means to communicate efficiently and work independently under remote conditions as applicable
- Support year-end financial activities
- As a Staff Accountant, you will manage accounting for investment partnerships, foundations, trusts, as well as other financial entities
- Reconcile and prepare workpapers/accruals for balance sheet and income statement accounts (i.e., intercompany allocation entries, revenue, expenses, and variance analyses), and manage the general ledger ensuring transaction accuracy
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is required; CPA candidate is preferred
- 1 or more years of accounting or auditing experience are required
- Proficient with Google platforms (i.e., Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
- Proficient knowledge of US GAAP and FASB ASC is preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
