Student Worker

The Student Ambassador position's basic function is to uphold the mission of the program, which is to develop and encourage peer relationships between current and prospective students by providing information and guidance during the admissions process. The Student Ambassador reports to the Admissions Coordinator.

Responsibilities

Conduct phone outreach to new inquiries within 24 business hours of receiving the inquiry.

Contact prospective students by phone for the purposes of serving as an informational resource and assisting them in the registration process.

Conduct re-engagement calls to prospective students in order to determine interest and assist with remaining steps to getting started.

Perform data entry of prospective student information and record notes from student outreach into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Assist with closing completed tasks in the CRM system.

Conduct campus tours for prospective students, as well as individual campus tours as needed.

Assist with facilitating a variety of college events, including New Student Orientation and Open House events.

Assist with providing front desk, phone, and student intake coverage as needed.

Assist with administrative office tasks as needed.

Maintain general knowledge of college activities, programs, and requirements with the ability to refer inquiries to the appropriate personnel.

Participate in outreach projects on campus.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and occasional weekends as needed.

Good interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive material.

Must be enrolled in at least one credit class at Waubonsee.

Valid Illinois driver's license required.
