Job Title: Supervisor, Maintenance FL

Job Summary:
- Supervising union mechanical crafts; millwright, pipefitter, welder; in safe and efficient work to maintain mill equipment in a reliable state to support the Fiberline area
- Heavily involved with the Planning & Scheduling process to maintain daily/weekly schedule of crew jobs in excel along with work order backlog in SAP system
- Responsible for leading safety adherence by the crew and any contractor interaction to support mill safety plan
- Sets expectations of work quality by crafts, especially areas of precision maintenance and lubrication
- Time approver of crew
- Work with operations group to prioritize work, communicate requirements to perform work, provide and accept feedback to improve work execution
- Works with planner heavily to support job plans, work priorities, work execution timing, feedback to improve job plans, evaluation of PM's
- Responsible for maintaining Environmental associated equipment and required documentation of inspections required by mill's environmental group

- Daily supervision of approximately 12 mechanical trade workers that maintain the mill equipment and structures in the Fiberline area.
- Ensures that all installed environmental mechanical equipment is maintained and in effective operation. Includes inspections completed and documented as required
- Ensures that health and safety considerations are paramount in areas of responsibility, showing by leadership to all Company employees the benefits of a healthy and safe workplace.
- Accountable for the number and severity of injuries and accidents to personnel under direct supervision.
- Ensures that all Company policies and rules as well as Government regulations are followed.
- Works with planner and superintendent to identify training needs of the crew
- Assists in coordinating mechanical activities with the needs of the production departments through the OMC, or shift engineer
- Responsible for scheduling of mechanical maintenance work in his/her area.
- Assists planner with the development of job plans
- Participates in preplanning, scheduling, and execution of mechanical activities during major mill shutdowns in responsible area
- Participates in "Maintenance on Call" coverage.
- Participates and sits as a member on various Mill committees.
- Plays a role in the implementation and function of key programs and initiatives, maintenance systems, SAP, crew restructure, cost reduction, etc.
- Works in conjunction with Engineering Department and Production Departments in solving problems of mechanical repairs or modifications to production equipment.
- Occasionally manages outside contractors who are engaged in mechanical maintenance for his area, mainly when interacts with the crew.
- Oversees the development of crafts in the apprentice program. Provides reviews of capabilities as they progress, coordinates the development of their knowledge to foster apprentices meet their program milestones.

Required Education/Professional Experiences:
Minimum education, required certifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 7 years mechanical experience in Millwright, pipefitting, or welding craft preferred.
- Experience managing mechanics in an industrial environment
- Experience and knowledge of Pulp Mill and Bleach Plant processes is a definite asset.

- Associates degree in Mechanical or Industrial with 3 years job related or equivalent experience

- Good computer skills(Excel, Word, Kronos) - working knowledge of SAP would be an asset.
