Supplier Quality Coordinator

Temp Only - 6 months contract position:

HORIBA is a global group of companies that develops, manufactures and provides an extensive array of analytical and measurement equipment to countries around the world. HORIBA Instruments Inc., a leading manufacturer of scientific instruments has an immediate opening for aQuality Assurance Technician in our Piscataway, New Jersey location. The ideal candidate will be able to lead daily Non-conforming material activities that keep manufacturing moving and improve the overall Quality of our products and processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Leads the Non-conforming materials process as well as maintains efficient and timely process flow in multiple areas of the worksite
• Manages supplier Return Material Authorization process for Non-conforming materials from Production in SAP
• Regularly works Quality metrics and suppliers to identify repeating product failures
• Liaises internally with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Management and willingness to communicate with Company Suppliers to drive departmental goals and achieve better product Quality

• Strong grasp of technical concepts that come within a manufacturing environment

• Implements and improves procedures to increase process efficiency, reduce costs and improve quality throughout the organization
• Helps drive corrective actions required to close-out CAR's and audit findings; performs root cause analyses as needed

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in relative Business Administration or 3 years working in a similar position
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Must have excellent communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

• Must have the ability to multi task with excellent follow-through skills
• 1 to 3 years of experience working in a quality or equivalent role within a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 concepts
• Must be able to work independently and produce on-time deliverables
• A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success

Desired Skills

• Some knowledge of managing databases is a plus

• Knowledge of Statistics and Statistical Process Control preferred
