Join us as a Supplier Risk & Compliance Lead at Alfa Laval. You will be overall responsible to identify and assess supplier risk and manage supplier compliance activities in the region, lead global projects, process development, and activities in accordance with the sourcing strategy and the sustainability agenda.

You will be part of the Sourcing organization in the US, and the Global Supplier Risk & Compliance network, working closely with International Supplier Risk & Compliance colleagues.

This is a hybrid opportunity reporting to Houston, TX. You can be located ideally in Houston, TX or a neighbouring State.

75% travel both domestic and international.

About the Role

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead regional risk & compliance network and regional supplier audit execution.
  • Lead key sustainability & compliance initiatives in the region.
  • Subject matter expert sustainability and compliance.
  • Execute technical and business principal audits according to set targets and strategy and support/mentor suppliers /purchasers to close the audit gap and secure follow-up closure.
  • Develop and sustain sourcing organization capabilities within sustainability and supplier risk management.
  • Provide sustainability, risk & compliance input to sourcing strategies, supplier development, supplier negotiations and supplier and supply chain risk reviews.

To be an ambassador for Sustainability & Compliance
  • Live and spread the Audit principles and Operations performance culture

Who you are

You are a person who takes pride and enjoys managing regional supplier risk and compliance activities. You enjoy developing regional sustainability opportunities and are comfortable leading global sustainability, risk, and compliance projects and initiatives aligned with the strategy.

What you know
  • BE/B. Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering
  • Min 10+ years' work of experience from supplier quality/purchase/Technical side /HSE
  • Min 3+ years of experience to conduct technical/Supply chain /Sustainability/code of conduct audits at suppliers
  • Manufacturing industry experience, with good understanding of different manufacturing processes like casting, forging, machining, fabrications, rubber moulding, etc to ensure suppliers' technical & EHS assessment
  • Good understanding of local laws related to environment, human rights, and health & safety for different manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of quality tools, preferably the Lean Six Sigma methodologies
  • ISO auditor certification of ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO45001 is preferred
  • English fluency is required, Spanish fluency is an advantage

The base salary for this role is typically 77,000 to $105,000.
