Overview

Phoenixville Hospital is a small community hospital located at 140 Nutt Rd, Phoenixville Pa. The Perioperative Services Department consists of the Operating Room, Endoscopy, Short Procedure Unit, PACU, PAT, Centralized Scheduling and Sterile Processing.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include scrubbing for multiple specialties including general, OB/GYN, urology, ortho, neuro, robotics and endo-vascular/vascular surgeries, maintaining proper aseptic technique and infection control measures, picking cases, and maintaining supplies. Position is for three out of 6 weekends in a 6 week period. Hours are 7am to 730pm. There is no on call requirement with this position. Maintains standards of nursing care, while a member of the surgical team, under the supervision and direction of professional nurses and in accordance with approved policies, procedures and schedules.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology.

Experience:

Demonstrates ability to work in demanding and stressful situations. Two to three years of surgical technology experience in multiple specialties required.

Licenses/Certificates:

Certification a plus.

Current Healthcare Provider CPR required.
