Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is looking to hire a Sr System Administrator to support our ANG RPA SOC customer's project out of Syracuse, NY.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities are to maintain the (POC) in an operational ready state and assist operations teams with solutions to real time issues, both computer and communications and assist customer to: define, document, and integrate required computer, communications and intelligence capabilities to enhance UAV and POC missions.
  • Systems monitored include: NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, internal/external voice communications system(s), VoIP, NSTS phone system, Video Teleconferencing Center, and video dissemination.
Requirements
  • Military C4ISR (Command, Control, Computers, Communication, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems experience
  • Experience with Windows 7 and Server 2008 administration
  • Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) and Domain Name System (DNS) in a mixed Window/Unix environment
  • Familiarly with UNIX or LINUX as a user
  • Hardware maintenance and installation
  • Experience with basic email and office administration software i.e. Microsoft Office set-up and maintenance. (This is not an exhaustive list as there may be other software required)
  • One or more of the following systems: SAN Storage, Server Blade, SQL, SharePoint, C2ISR video data, network performance software
  • Active US Top Secret/SCI
  • Must possess DOD 8570 IAT II level certification
  • A+ and/or Network+
  • Minimum of a High School Degree with at least 4 years of direct relevant work experience
  • Must hold one of the following certifications within employment: VMware 6, CCNA and MCSA

Preferred but NOT Required Education and Experience (education that is not necessary but will make a candidate more qualified for the position)
  • US Air Force (or other military) experience in a computer - related discipline is highly desired.
  • Operational experience with UAV's.
  • Familiarity with DOD cryptographic equipment.
  • Prior military or civilian DOD experience with Air Operations is highly desired
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering
