Talent Acquisition Team Lead - US Operations

Location: Gaithersburg

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing Talent Acquisition strategies in partnership with the Human Resources Business Partners, Global Talent Acquisition Leads and Hiring Managers to identify and fill vacancies with talented individuals with the right capability and skills in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Your role will involve proactive activity, developing and executing sourcing plans, screening, interviewing, pre-selecting, offer management and managing the hiring administration process.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of Talent Acquisition partners and delivering on hiring needs for the business.
  • Managing Talent Acquisition delivery team across hubs or in country. People management responsibility for the team. Monitor performance, holds regular 1:1 meetings, identifying and resolving any issues regarding Talen Acquisition delivery for the team.
  • Collaborate with the business on strategic workforce plan and achieving and exceeding business objectives. Ensuring data quality, driving a great candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Work with the HUB and Global Talent Acquisition leads to understand business priorities, reporting, projects and ad hoc requests to achieve/support business goals.
  • Mentor/coach direct reports and identify talent for development.
  • Demonstrate business acumen to support the goals of the business, proactively innovate to achieve team and business goals.
  • Monitor KPI's, deliver reports, metrics and ad hoc reports as required.
  • Developing strong partnerships with hiring managers and candidates, building a bench of qualified candidates to meet both current and anticipated business needs
  • Proactively building and developing relationships with Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners and other colleagues - providing consultation, project management and service delivery
  • Ensuring 3rd party providers to required procurement and policy standards
  • Participating in all activities in the recruitment life cycle including; sourcing planning, screening, interviewing, pre-selecting, offer management, hiring and onboarding
  • Supporting and attending Conferences, College and Career Fairs - ensuring consistency in messaging and materials for recruitment branding and skill set targeting.
  • Educating business client in the use of Interviewing approach, recommend resources and techniques for interviewing, assessing and evaluating applicants
  • Appropriately challenging the recruitment process to ensure hiring activities have the appropriate priority and to select the top candidate considering a mix of skills, abilities, potential, and diversity.

Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant talent acquisition experience.
  • Experienced in delivering full life cycle recruitment services.
  • Experienced in identifying and securing passive candidates via various 'direct' channels - Social Media; LinkedIn etc., networking, market mapping, careers fairs, industry events, etc.
  • Competent IT skills, including all Microsoft office, spreadsheets, databases, reports and able to produce meaningful management information.
  • Stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  • Persuading, influencing, negotiating and consultation skills.

Desirable Requirements
  • Broad understanding of Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry
  • Corporate recruiting experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry
