RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client in Boston, MA is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. This client is a real estate company. This role will work in a hybrid schedule, 2-3 days a week in the office and the rest of the week remote.Responsibilities will include:
  • Tax Manager will perform investor's tax withholding analysis
  • Manage tax reporting process related to the Fund/Management company entities
  • Review tax workpapers and returns
  • Ensure compliance with REIT requirements
  • Prepare tax provisions
  • Collect investor tax documentation and maintain tax withholding and information tracker
  • As a Tax Manager, you will support the Tax Director to address investor requests
  • Maintain tax compliance calendars and trackers
  • Provide required information to tax service providers
  • Resolve tax notices


REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS in Accounting required
  • CPA or Master's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in Public Accounting
  • Strong knowledge of US real estate partnership taxation, REIT taxation and qualification, corporate taxation, and state income and franchise taxation
  • Understanding of Fund/Management company investor tax sensitivities
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
