Our Team:

The Cloud Engineering Team "Pantheon" is a responsible for focusing on the next evolution of the LexisNexis Engineer Experience. Our primary responsibility is to design and promote mainstream relevant processes that include but not limited to TDD, DevOps Elite, Mono Repo and Trunk Based Development as ways of working to enhance the engineering experience. Additionally, we are establishing the Platform Engineer Container Strategy (PECS) which will power this evolution as a complete end to end container life cycle management process. We are both infrastructure and software engineers with a goal of providing the best engineering experience possible for our application teams. We are an integrity first team, and we accept nothing less than a professional and collaborative mindset.

You'll Need to Have:
* Previous Experience in leading teams to successful product implementations

* Ability to mentor and educate best practices among the junior members of the team

* Demonstrated Experience in programming with Go "Go Lang"
* Experience with an CI\CD tool or process such as Jenkins
* Experience working in infrastructure as code
* Experience with AWS Cloud services or similar providers
* Experience with a container technology in a. production level environment
* Ability to collaborate, listen, evaluate problems and communicate solutions
* Keep Calm under pressure and move forward with minimum supervision

We love to see:
* Production level Kubernetes or other Container Orchestration Experience

* Documented cases of how you lead previous teams or product implementations
* Jenkins or Azure Devops Pipeline Development Experience
* Cloud Expertise dealing with AWS and Azure
* Understanding of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
* Go Development experience in writing tooling for command line and automation
* Familiarity with Open source configuration and orchestration tools
* Deep understanding of a container life cycle management process
* Security first mind set and cloud implementation experience

2. What would you say are the TOP 3 must-have skills you're looking for? (Measurable skills, technologies, etc.)
a.) SDLC knowledge
b.) Kubernetes or Container Orchestration (does not matter the cloud provider)
c.) Go development

3. How many years of experience are you looking for? As you start to go through resumes, what would stand out to you as the BEST candidate versus an AVERAGE candidate?
Best Candidate 3-4 years in each of the skill sets
Average 3-4 in at least one of the skillsets

4. Does your team work standard core hours or does that vary?
Standard hours are 8-5 but we all drift as needed for personal obligations

5. Do you need someone with a particular degree or certification?
I rather have experience than just education so nothing required as far degree or certification, but AWS are a nice to have.

6. What are some of the performance indicators you'll be looking for once this person ramps up? (Meeting deadlines, quality of work, etc.)
Meeting deadlines
Time Management processes
Ability to deliver quality through automation
Ability to pair program and educate outside of the team
