Cedar Fair is seeking a Technical Manager- Accounting Information Systems at the Sandusky, OH office. The Technical Manager of Accounting Information Systems (AIS Technical Mgr.) is a member of the Accounting Shared Services team and will directly oversee the technical aspects of Cedar Fair’s Accounting Information Systems.

 

This position reports to the Senior Manager of Accounting Information Systems (AIS Sr. Mgr.) and will collaborate extensively with the Functional and Financial Systems AIS Managers in order to collectively maintain, administer and enhance financial systems, provide user support, uphold data governance policies and processes and assist with various controls compliance.

 

The AIS Technical Mgr. will share direct supervision of the AIS Analyst staff with the other leaders of AIS functional & financial systems channels.

How You'll Make A Difference:

Responsibilities:

• Manage the technical (i.e. system based) administration of all relevant accounting information systems to ensure that they are available for reporting, analytical and decision-making needs.
• Proactively analyze, detect, identify & correct technical problems and deficiencies for the AIS team and extended Accounting Shared Services department.
• Share in the responsibility for managing third-party products (including but not limited to Oracle JDE, FCCS, PBCS & ARCS as well as Hyland Brainware & On Base software). 
• Ability to blend IT logic with base level accounting knowledge.
• Create and deliver documentation for various components of AIS including but not limited to system assessments and architecture.
• Act as a liaison between various internal partners (Accounting, Operational, Administrative and Information Systems teams).
• Manage technical-based support incidents with external partners (Consultants, Implementation & Managed Services teams) and coordinating follow-up and escalation as applicable.
• Maintain and promote a strong culture of technical competence, personal accountability, and ethical behavior in all aspects of work consistent with the company Cornerstones.
• Make recommendations for automating processes and increasing efficiency.
• Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and procedures as they relate to accounting information systems functions.
• Coordinate and strategize methods used to develop and attain team goals and initiatives with team members.
• Mentor and develop the Accounting Information Systems Analyst staff. Oversee management of work allocation, training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective    and efficient team culture.
• Encourage effective cross-functional teamwork outside of direct span of control.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Management & Information Systems, Computer Science or Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Minimum six years of demonstrated success in Accounting Information Systems management with progressive responsibilities.
• Demonstrated aptitude with software applications and the interface of data between non-related applications. (Previous experience with Oracle ERP & EPM products highly desirable)
• Previous experience with relational databases leveraging SQL a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities involving internal customer requests and demands.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test and background check, which may include, but is not limited to credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, pursuant to Company policy.
